In 2016, Sam and Philipp, two good friends that shared a love for nature and a fascination with watchmaking, contemplated an idea that was fueled by the striking landscapes of the Ore Mountains:
"Could we create watches that echo the Ore Mountains' elegance?"
The Ore Mountains, named for their mineral riches, were more than a backdrop – they were a wellspring of inspiration. Sam and Philipp aspired to capture the region’s understated beauty in their designs.
Driven by this vision, Zeitholz Watches was born. What began with timepieces has since grown into a full family of natural wood watches and accessories, allowing our community to wear sustainable design in a variety of ways.
Our watches and accessories combine precise craftsmanship with the natural warmth of responsibly sourced wood, showing that sustainability and style can beat as one.
At Zeitholz, sustainability is the heartbeat of everything we create – from wooden watches to sunglasses, bracelets, and pendants. We craft timeless pieces using reclaimed and responsibly sourced wood, blending thoughtful design with ecological responsibility.
Each watch purchase contributes to reforestation through our partnership with Trees for the Future (TREES). Together, we empower communities in Africa by planting trees that regenerate degraded land, improve food security, and combat poverty.
Our vision goes beyond craftsmanship – it’s about building a greener, more sustainable future. By choosing Zeitholz, you help create real impact, one tree at a time. That’s our promise: meaningful design, rooted in purpose.
Every Zeitholz product contains a true piece of nature – whether it rests on your wrist or shades your eyes.
Our design philosophy blends the elegance of traditional watchmaking with the beauty and sustainability of the natural world.
Each of our creations unites nature and innovation, delivering functionality, longevity, and a distinctive style – all crafted with precision and care for the environment.
In crafting Zeitholz watches, we adhere to a profound respect for nature, employing 100% natural wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This ensures our materials meet the highest environmental and social standards.
Our commitment extends to our packaging, made from natural, recyclable materials, minimizing environmental impact and plastic use.
We embody FSC principles in every detail, emphasizing conservation, community, and workers' rights.
Our collections of watches for men and watches for women are a tribute to the Ore Mountains, a region steeped in beauty and tradition.
Each watch carries the name of a Saxony town, reflecting the distinctive charm of these locales.
From the quiet waters of the Bärwalder See a couple of kilometres from Klitten to the imposing beauty of Stolpen' Castle, every design captures the spirit of its namesake.
This map of the Ore Mountains is more than a guide; it's an invitation to explore the stories behind our watches, each pinpoint a source of inspiration for the piece on your wrist.
